The data set was created by extracting data from geocommunicator.gov web service for "OG Leases Authorized" with Case Disp=5. We created a year column using the effective lease data, ran a union with the sage-grouse management zones and conservation area boundaries and calculated the area of each polygon. This data was used to calculated the are leased in each sage grouse management zone by year. Purpose: These data are intended for geographic display and analysis at the regional level and producing graphics for display of resource development.
